Abstract

As global climate challenges intensify, the transition toward low-carbon energy systems has become a central pillar of national sustainability strategies. Morocco, with limited fossil fuel resources and growing energy demand, has embarked on an ambitious energy transition aimed at enhancing energy security, promoting renewable energy, and contributing to global climate mitigation efforts. This paper adopts a qualitative descriptive approach based on a structural analysis of secondary data to provide an integrated and analytical reading of Morocco’s energy transition in the context of  climate challenges, emphasizing its economic implication. As a results, the country's energy transition strategy has a positive outcome in terms of job creation while dealing with climate change. This is because Morocco's economy is gradually developing alongside the country's energy transition, which has a positive impact on both the labor market and environmental conservation. Consequently, Morocco can fully realize its potential as a hub for renewable energy innovation and green growth.
